Lawyers stage employment law seminarArticle Date: 08 September, 2017
Companies are being urged to examine new EU legislation that will impact on the way employee data is managed.
An event being organised by national law firm Mills & Reeve, will explain how the General Protection Regulations will affect UK businesses.
Richard Santy (pictured), a partner specialising in employment law at Mills & Reeve said: “The new legislation date is rapidly approaching, and employers are running out of time to prepare.
“Our interactive session will explain why this new EU legislation will change the way employee data is managed in the UK (regardless of Brexit) and will explore what practical steps organisation can take to get ready before the May, 2018, deadline.
“We will also update businesses on the current status of the UK/EU negotiations on the future of EU nationals living and working in Britain and provide them with our selection of recent case law highlights.
“These will include the latest decisions on discrimination, unfair dismissal and whistleblowing.”
The session will take place at Mills & Reeve’s Birmingham office on September 28 (8am-10am). Admission is free.
